I bought this to plug into my Roku 2's USB port so that I could put a lot of movies on the drive and watch them on my TV from my Roku without having to go change the DVD after every movie. I copied the movies from all of my DVDs to my computer (converted to mp4s.) I ended up with 110 movies on this one USB Drive! Since I didn't have enough room to copy all of my movies (230 of them), I am buying another one of these (it arrives tomorrow) to put most of the rest of them on (along with a SanDisk 32GB Cruzer Blade USB drive that I already owned). I am using a 7 port USB hub (that I already had) that I can hook into the Roku and I can put all 3 of these SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB Drives into the hub and have all 230 movies available to watch without ever having to get a DVD out of my collection.
The reason I chose this exact drive is because I already owned a 32GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade drive (as I mentioned above) and I did a small test with the movies and it worked perfectly.
This USB drive does not get warm when I'm using it and it keeps up with my movie speed. I don't have to worry about the movie pausing to buffer. All of my movies stream smoothly and you would never know you weren't watching them straight from the DVD. The USB drive has a small hole in the end to attach a cord. I am attaching small satin ribbons with different colors in each one in order to tell them apart. I can't wait for my next one to show up tomorrow so that I can finish setting it all up.
